"A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014."
Poet: She's gazing at her brother which makes her smile even more precious.
I've had a big few days in regards to knowing my limits and honouring my priorities. So many profound lessons for me and as a result I'm feeling much lighter and calmer. So today, as I write this post a little late than usual I'm going to keep it short (no favourites today, I'm afraid) and leave you instead with a few words that may resonate:
"It's good to leave each day behind, like flowing water, free of sadness. Yesterday is gone and its tale told. Today new seeds are growing."
- Rumi

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little grin! Love it
ReplyDeletethat's such good advice, and what a wonderful quote with which to illustrate it. I'm feeling similarly stretched with the addition of a new baby and visiting family, but I'm really taking comfort in reminding myself that this is simply the season in which I find myself, and it won't last forever.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a relief to realise your limits, I think. Be kind to yourself x
ReplyDeletePerfection. x
